Medium animal parrot is a beautiful handmade dhokra showpiece made to match your decoration anywhere you feel. Dhokra is a non-ferrous metal casting technique. This sort of metal casting has been used in India for over 4,000 years and is still used and one of the earliest known lost wax artifacts is the dancing girl of Mohenjo-Daro. The design will just bring out nature’s art within giving the wonderful look.

The craft takes its name from the Dhokra Damar tribe of West Bengal, distant relatives of the Gonds and Ghadwas of Central India. They are located in Odisha, Jharkhand, Bengal, Chhattisgarh. They lived under a blanket of stars and the shade of trees, hawking bracelets, anklets, earrings, wristbands, necklaces, and idols of gods and goddesses, besides utilitarian pieces such as combs, lamps, bowls, betel boxes, and cups. Around a hundred years ago, some Jhara tribesmen settled in Ektaal village. |
