Since generations, the tribal community of Dantewada has shared a close and harmonious relationship with the surrounding natural resources. Looking at this scenario and with the hope to build the livelihood of the community by leveraging the strength of indigenous knowledge, efforts to conserve traditional seeds and crops and promote organic forming were started.

The work of Gond artists is rooted in their folk tales and culture, and thus story-telling is a strong element of every painting.
