Recipes using Javaphul Rice

 

 

Recipes:

  1. Recipe (Tawa pulao):
  • Ingredients:
  • 1 cup javaphul rice
  • Water to soak and boil
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1 tsp cumin(jeera)
  • ½ onion
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 tbsp capsicum
  • 5 beans
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 tsp pav bhaji Masala
  •  ¼ tsp chili powder.

  • Steps:
  • Drain excess water and put the javaphul rice in a pot, then pour in hot water two knuckles above rice level over medium heat until cooked.
  • In a kadhai heat 2 tsp butter and saute 1 tsp cumin until it turns aromatic.
  • Now add ½ onions, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1 carrot, 2 tbsp capsicum, 2 tbsp peas, 5 beans, and ½ tsp salt and saute well.
  • Stir-fry for 3 minutes or until vegetables are cook slightly.
  • Now add 2 tomatoes, 2 tsp pav bhaji masala, and ¼ tsp chili powder.
  • saute until the oil is released from the masala paste.
  • Now add in cooked Javaphul rice and mix gently.
  • Serve Tawa pulao.

  1. Recipe (Javaphul Rice):
  • Ingredients:
  • 1 cup of Tribal Javaphul rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • ½ tsp salt


  • Steps:
  • Rinse 1 cup of Tribal Javaphul rice.
  • Combine the rice, salt, and 2 cups of water in a pressure cooker, mix well and pressure cook for 3 to 4 whistles.
  • Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dal.
